Hot fun in the Summertime!

Ok...so this is probably going to be my last blog before baby Cannon arrives on Monday. I know I'm not the best blogger in the world...and I'm pretty sure there are some blogs that I follow that could possibly win "Best bloggers." :) But, I do want to post some pics from our fun times we have had in July and show what we have been up to. July 4th was spent with family/ friends by the pool and then onto some more swimming and fun the rest of the month. We have free access to Chad's Gran's Pool and so we try to take advantage any chance we can! Also, you will see a pretty hot fireman in these pics...the hottest one around, I would say!

Summer time in Cleveland

Well, with the heat and the long days...it is officially summertime! It has been an awesome summer so far with me getting to spend everyday with Carter and being able to see Chad so much more. I love being off in the summer and I'm so incredibly thankful for my job allowing it! I am now counting down the days until Baby Cannon arrives. I am almost 35 weeks and I'm scheduled for a c-section on July 27. I am praying hard that he decides to just come early and so I get to have more time off with both boys and I'm not prego anymore in this hot heat! :) I love being pregnant and I love summer, but I do not love them together! Together the combination = always hot and a body that is swollen and retaining fluid! Needless to say, if we can help it, this is prob. the last baby that will be born in the mid-summer. Next time we will try for a fall/spring/winter baby :) 

I am enjoying the good food that summer brings...yummy strawberries, etc. :) haha

All I can say is May is the new December!

Ok...so I thought that December was rough with all the present buying for all the loved ones...but I think that May has topped our December budget in gifts! This month alone we had five wedding showers, six birthday parties, Mother's Day and it was our 6th Wedding Anniversary! I told Chad that I think we better "X" May off of our calendars from now on and go into hiding for the whole month. :) I love all the party going and the wonderful fun showers, but my bank account doesn't like it at all...haha! Oh well, we will survive and make it through to June. I do love our family and friends and honestly, would not miss their parties/showers for the whole world!

This Mother's Day was my 2nd one and I was so excited! I can't believe I'm about to be a mom for the 2nd time to Cannon William...who's coming in July! I feel like he should be ready to come sooner because this time around I have felt soooo much bigger than I did with Carter. And the heat doesn't seem to help my swollen feet. But, I'm sure he will not make his arrival until late July. :)

And on the 10th, was Chad and I's 6th Anniversary. We are going to celebrate this Friday/Saturday by going out of town for the night. Who says 7 1/2 month pregnant girl can't be any fun? hehe :) I might fall asleep early, but I still can try! We are going to the mountains, so it will be fun just to get away together for 2 days.

Well, school is almost over and I'm very excited to have summer break!! 5 days and counting! These swollen feet and growing belly need a pool!!! I'm sure Carter will have no objections to me being home with him, too! :)

Ok..I'm the worst blogger there ever was :)

Well, all I can say is that I'm sorry to my fellow bloggers, but I am hoping to get back on the bandwagon of this blogging world. :) I just fell off the face of the planet for a while...I finished up my Master's program (yeah!!), have been trying to get through the rest of the school year with all my duties as a 1st grade teacher, and have been being a pregnant mom with a very active 1 year old and being a wife to my hubby. :) I know they are all excuses, but I feel very good ones. Also, now that we have a new computer that works very well, I love to be on it. :) It makes life much easier in the computer world. :) 

Updates on me: I started couponing and love it!! I have saved soooo much money and my husband is very happy about it...our grocery bill has been cut in half and maybe more than that! It is really kind of an addiction, but a good one :) Southernsavers.com has become my new love and so many other really good blogs out there that are helping me save money!! So, I have shed my old life that was without coupons and now with my new one, I have a hard time buying something if I don't have a coupon for it!!! :) haha

Updates on Carter: He is all over the place...and has the best little zest for life. I love watching him grow, but don' t want him to grow at the same time. I guess every mom grows through that. He is helping me not gain as much weight this pregnancy because i am constantly chasing him around, but I love it! :)

New goals to be done this week and yes, Thank you Lord, for Johnny McDaniel and his attention to safety!

Ok...so I have to explain why the birthday theme wallpaper since I have no pics of my son's 1st b-day yet...but yes it was his 1st birthday on January 14 and ohhh it was so bittersweet! I was happy but sad because he is getting to be no longer a baby and when he officially starts taking off on those chubby little feet then it will really hit me that I no longer have a little baby boy anymore. Why does life fly by so fast??? Ok...and my new goals for this week are to get pics from Christmas, pics from our orlando trip, and pics from Carter's b-day on this blog so that all of our blog fans can see what has been going on in the past month for us. :)

Ok and so, also, I have to give a big shout out of thanks to Johnny McDaniel, our Superintendent, who put safety first and let us have 3+1 (MLK) days at home! It was cold, not really so much snow, but a little ice and cold temps and we needed the time off...or I needed the time off to spend with Carter! :) So, thank you JD!

The Official Announcement

I have not yet made the official announcement on my blog yet, but most people already know. We are expecting baby #2 on August 5, 2009. We were definitely not trying for this little surprise, but it is a blessing non-the-less. :) We are excited and can't wait to find out whether Carter will have a little brother or little sister. I will post more updates and pics of my belly as it grows.

Fun in Orlando!

Well, we (me, Chad, Carter, my in-laws, husband, sister-in-law and her boyfriend) have been having fun in Orlando for the past week and tomorrow I'll be so sad when we have to go home. We have seen Shamu at Seaworld and the flipping dolphins. We have also been to Animal Kingdom and rode a big jeep thing through a Safari. It was so much fun seeing all the big animals. The best was the big lion and lioness. Carter really liked the safari ride. He slept through most of the shows, but he was such a trooper through the long days in the parks.

We have had a lot of fun and we have done some big damage in the shopping department. :) But we will be headed back to the real world tomorrow and I'll post some pics when we get back.
